Impressive scaffolding in the maritime industry

The Spanish company GABADI S.L., in collaboration with Scafom-rux España, demonstrates innovative solutions to the challenges of scaffolding in the maritime industry through their latest project.

The objective: to replace the entire tank membrane of a 215-meter-long LNG carrier. Ensuring the integrity of the renewed tank required the utmost precision from the GABADI team to prevent leaks. To minimize potential errors, the team meticulously rehearsed the necessary work steps for three months prior to the project’s commencement.

This undertaking necessitated a safe and efficient working platform that allowed the team to operate in close proximity to the tank walls without causing any damage. For this purpose, GABAD IS.L. utilized 800 tonnes of Scafom-rux's modular RINGSCAFF scaffolding system. To ensure the membrane replacement was free from contamination, Scafom-rux supplied completely new scaffolding materials for the project.
