This was bauma 2022 - Scafom-rux at the world's largest trade fair

Munich, 24 October, 9:00 a.m.: Only a few minutes until the first bauma visitors walk through the huge halls of Messe München. The Scafom-rux team gathers for a last meeting in the meeting room on the second floor of our trade fair stand. The schedule and last questions are discussed one last time. In the background, the announcement with the countdown to the opening of the fair sounds though the trade fair halls in regular intervals. 10 minutes to go. 5 minutes to go. A final joint walk-through of the trade fair stand concludes the last preparations. Everything is in place - we're ready to go.

If you are one of those who have ever exhibited at a large trade fair, you probably know that there’s always a bit of nervousness withing the team just before the first visitors enter the exhibition halls. Although we can call ourselves old hands at bauma by now, it's no different for us. After all, several months of planning and organisation went into this week at the world's largest trade fair. A week before the doors of bauma opened, our stand in Hall B3 was already bustling with activity. Our team from Hagen, 600 km from Munich, arrived a few days earlier to lend the stand builders a hand and make final preparations for the start of the fair on Monday.

Scafom-rux team members from Spain, Latin America, France, Singapore, the Netherlands, Sweden and Poland also travelled to Munich to attend the industry event of the year. The fact that bauma is not an exclusively German but an international gathering of the construction industry is also shown by the fact that around 50 percent of this year’s visitors came from abroad.

Here we go! Start of bauma 2022

9:30 a.m., the starting signal is given for bauma 2022. Over 495,000 visitors from more than 200 countries will walk through the exhibition halls over the next seven days.

Hall B3 also quickly fills up with visitors. Once at stand 226, the first product that catches the eye is the new XGR1 expandable guardrail. Right next to it, our SUPER RS modular facade scaffolding, the RINGSCAFF Sky suspended scaffolding system and the brand new RINGSCAFF stair tower.

Four new scaffolding highlights from the Scafom-rux product range

While walking through our exhibition stand it quickly becomes clear that the four innovations presented have one thing in common: they always complement each other.In the development of new scaffolding solutions, our technical team has made the multiple use and compatibility of our products a priority. In addition to the compatibility with Scafom-rux scaffolding solutions, this also includes other systems on the market.

Both the new RINGSCAFF stair tower, the RINGSCAFF Sky suspended scaffolding system and the SUPER RS system are mainly made of material that is already in the scaffolder’s stock. The XGR1 can also be used for common scaffolding systems. The idea behind it: scaffolding solutions thus become particularly sustainable for the user and reduce investment requirements.

An exciting week at bauma - we take stock

Sunday, 4:30 pm. The end of a successful week at bauma. The last trade fair visitors leave the halls of Messe München and our team starts to pack up the first things for the return journey the next day. After an eventful seven days, a little melancholy is mixed in with the exhaustion that is gradually setting in. The good talks with customers, even beyond business, and the great teamwork are what make up our understanding of a truly successful trade fair appearance.

The positive response to the scaffolding innovations we presented and the constructive customer feedback also make us look back on bauma 2022 happily. So, here's to the next bauma in 2025!
